Missouri

Project Manager

Do you have a passion for building highways, bridges and infrastructure?

What we need:

Safety Manager

Do you have safety management experience on heavy-highway and heavy-civil construction projects?

What we expect:

  • Assists, plans, and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT).
  • Performs safety surveys and inspections, prepares written reports of findings, and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures where indicated; follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
  • Complete internal audits, comparing project plan from bid process and actual work site to proactively anticipate safety issues and/or concerns that may arise. Present finding to ownership with recommendations for next steps.
  • Conducts post-accident investigation, prepares report identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by leadership team.
  • Create and implement training for all team members in work site safety practices and loss prevention; follows up to ensure training is being completed and knowledge applied.
  • Evaluate safety programs yearly to ensure relevant, make appropriate updates as needed; communicate updates to appropriate team members.
  • Acts as liaison with workers compensation vendor, and thief and liability insurance companies.

What we need:

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results driven, with confidence to make decisions quickly and problem solve while applying critical thinking to decisions.
  • Proven successful experience as safety manager or relevant experience.
  • Proven successful experience with OSHA, DOT, and US Corp of Engineers.
  • Proficient with computer software (MS Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, etc.).
  • Safety-related certifications (OSHA 30, First-Aid, CPR, Confined Space Competency, etc.).
  • Must have valid driver’s license and be fluent in English.
